Insight 2 Improve advise companies to improve any aspect of the business.

We are a team of advisors dedicated to equipping companies and their leaders with the insight, purpose and capacity to deliver business and societal value in equal measure. 


Our advisors each possess 20-30 years experience of improving business value through sustainability - as in-house leaders and external advisors. They had defining corporate roles in leading sustainability strategy implementation in Deloitte, Royal Dutch Shell and Vodafone Group.


Our advisors have worked with numerous large international businesses and have vast experience in advising leadership of SME’s on business and sustainability issues as well. Further, they worked extensively with international organisations, NGO’s and targeted stakeholder engagement helping shape business approach to sustainability.

Preben brings over 30 years of experience with business advisory, including 20 years focusing on sustainability and 8 years leading and building an international advisory practice...

Preben committed his most recent year to advising organisations on strategy, capital-raising, governance and risk, as well as sustainability. He also drived the birth of Insight2Improve.

Preben was senior partner with Deloitte until 2012 and had during 15 years a range of international leadership roles in Deloitte Sustainability Practices, including the position as a global leader of Deloitte Sustainability Practices (1999-2007). He established and lead the Danish Sustainability Practice (1995-2012).

Preben was an auditor and financial advisor (1978-1995) and became partner with Deloitte in 1993. Over his full career Preben spend vast time advising multinationals as well as SME’ businesses.

Preben holds a MSC in Business Administration and Audit (1987) from CBS. He is a State Authorized Public Accountant (1989) and holds a Certificate (2013) and a Diploma in Company Direction (2013) from IoD, London.

Chris brings over 20 years' experience of working across the sustainability agenda. He has both extensive advisory experience from leading consultancies but also first-hand experience of leading an in-house team within an international, top 5 FTSE-listed business (Vodafone Group).

Chris founded Blue Dot Sustainability Advisory in 2012 after having lead Salterbaxter sustainability consulting team in 2011. Chris was Group Sustainability Director in Vodafone Group from 2007-2011. From 2005-2006 he lead the development of a Group–wide reputation management system and a corporate affairs / reputation strategy. He joined Vodafone Group Corporate Responsibility team in 2002.

Following a career in financial audit and management consultancy Chris joined (1993) and subsequently led (from 1999) the Deloitte Environment and Sustainability Services team in the UK.

Chris has a MSC in Zoology and is a Chartered Accountant.

Mark offers a unique range of experiences and competencies to bring sustainable development thinking into the mainstream of major corporations and institutions. He has his own consultancy since 2006.
He is chairman of the New Zealand Trade & Enterprise's European Beachheads Advisory Board and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Academy of Business in Society (EABiS) and the Board of Trustees of The Centre for Tomorrow’s Company.

Mark was with Shell 1979-2006 and was a founding member of the Shell Sustainable Development Group in 1997. He was head of Sustainable Development Policy, Strategy & Reporting until 2003. From 2003-2006 he led the Sustainable Development Learning program within Shell's Leadership Development group encompassing all stages of the talent pipeline from attraction to senior executive development.

Mark is a PhD in Biochemistry and Microbiology from University of London.

Our governance

Governance Framework

Insight2Improve Ltd is owned by certain advisors of the company either directly or through a legal entity controlled by the advisor. The shares are non-tradable and an agreement between the advisors regulates how shares may change hands. The shareholders agreement and the articles of associations contain commitment to Insight2Improve’s mission, vision and values and to the basic principles for how we run the business.
